Before starting her real estate career, Akilah studied business, finance, and urban planning at California State University. It was her deep rooted interest in real estate, particularly in helping people obtain wealth through real estate that drove her to break in to the field. Since her family has always invested, developed, and rehabbed property, she has always been around it. This experience has helped her enjoy teaching and educating people on the real estate process. She is also proud to offer client-focused service that makes her clients goals, her goals as well. Outside of work, Akilah enjoys attending church, cooking, traveling and enjoying the many festivals and culture events throughout Chicago.

Areas of Expertise

Akilah works with buyers and sellers and investors. Her areas of expertise reside on the South Side in the neighborhoods of Hyde Park, Bronzeville, Chatham, Woodlawn, Burnside, Ashburn, Beverly, and South Shore.

Sellers are provided a price analysis and marketing plan tailored to their property. Clients are informed of showing activity and the market activity on a weekly basis. I screen for qualified buyers, negotiate all offers and manage the transaction from start to finish. 

Buyers- I work with both first time and seasoned buyers. I counsel and inform my clients of the buying process and of available resources. I send and show properties that fit my client’s criteria. I provide my clients with a property evaluation, negotiate on their behalf, and manage the transaction from start to finish. 

Investors-My finance background allows me to assist investors in selecting solid investment properties that will provide them with a positive cash flow and return on investment. I inform my investor clients of neighborhood trends and projects to determine up and coming communities and appreciating areas.
